Students are learning:
- How to write lots of books that teach
- Organizing their writing, elaboration (asking "who," "what," "where," "why" questions), revising, editing (run-on sentences, capitalization, punctuation), using specific details (exact names, numbers, colors, sizes, shapes, quotes), using checklists, endings
- How to write chapter books that teach with organization and detail
- Planning chapters, table of contents, rehearsing, designing pages, captions, diagrams, editing for paragraphs, spelling, conventions
- How to take their writing from good to great
- Setting goals, studying mentor texts, revising, conduct interviews and take surveys, using facts, transition words, punctuation, publishing
